A shorter sidebar, a built in validator, and a batch of fixes.

Only the fields you need

The sidebar used to show every field for every content type at once, around sixty controls. Now it shows only what applies to the type you picked, typically twelve to twenty four. Choose Product and the article, blog, news and event fields disappear. Choose FAQPage and everything except your question pairs steps aside.

You can also set how many FAQ pairs, breadcrumb levels and custom property rows you want, so there is nothing empty to scroll past.

Validate Schema

A new button checks the fields Google requires for your chosen type and lists anything missing. An Article needs a headline, image, publication date and author. A Product needs an image and either a price or a rating. Miss one and Google ignores the markup entirely, which is a bad thing to discover six months later.

The design canvas warns you too. The placeholder turns red and reads “incomplete” while something required is still empty.

Test in Google

One click opens the Google Rich Results Test for your page, so you can confirm the markup works on the published site.

Use Page SEO Data

Tick a box and your Page Name and Description fill themselves from Blocs Page Settings on export. No more typing the same text twice and keeping two copies in sync.

Events get an Organizer field

The organiser was being written into the output all along with no way to set it. Now there is a field for it.

Fixes

– Values in Base Information no longer disappear when you click away and come back

– More than one DataLoom Pro can now be used on a single page, useful when a page needs both an Article and an FAQ

– Choosing NZD as the currency no longer outputs MXN. BTC is replaced by MXN, as Google requires an ISO 4217 code

– Image addresses build from your site root instead of the page path

– Quotes and backslashes in a URL or date no longer stop the sidebar responding

– Word count and reading time ignore anything that is not a number

– Empty fields are stripped from the exported page, so your markup carries only real data
