The Tooltip Pro helps you add extra information to a word or phrase without overcrowding your page with explanations. You select that word, turn it into a Span, give it a unique ID, and you write this ID into the appropriate field. Without an ID it will not work, but what its name is is entirely up to you.
If you want the tooltip not to disappear immediately when you move the mouse away from the word, you can turn on the “sticky” mode. In this case it will only close when you click elsewhere on the page or scroll. This is especially convenient for videos and embedded website previews, because you have time to see what is inside.
You can write the tooltip text into a separate field. It can be just a few words, a short note, but even a one‑ or two‑sentence explanation. There is no character limit, but the tooltip is fundamentally meant for displaying shorter, supplementary information, not long articles.
If you want, you can also give a separate title to the bubble, which will appear in the top‑left area of the tooltip. You can customize this, set its size, colour, and in another block also its font type, giving your description a unique appearance.
You can customise the appearance of the tooltip itself in detail: background colour, font colour, font type, font size, corner rounding, border thickness and colour – all can be set separately. This way the tooltip can blend nicely into your page’s design; it does not stick out, but complements it.
You can also add an image to the content: you can set a preview image that appears above the text, nicely matching the size of the bubble. This is useful when you want to show a product, a service, or any visual element together with a short description.
If an icon is useful for a given topic, you can add a custom SVG icon as well. You can adjust the icon’s colour to match the chosen style, adjust its size to the text size, and you can also choose whether the SVG icon appears on the left or the right side of the text. This gives the whole thing a more unified, more professional impression.
You can also put a video into the tooltip: currently it supports YouTube links, and you need to paste the full link. You can set autoplay and also the sound. However, compliance with GDPR rules is your responsibility – the bric only provides the technical possibility; the appropriate information and legal text must be displayed on your website by you.
There is also the option to display a website “preview” inside the tooltip. For this you provide a link, a title, a short description, and you can also set the footer colour and the text colour of the small preview card. Its effect is like seeing a link preview shared on a social site, only here inside the tooltip.
The goal of Tooltip Pro is simple:
It helps create organised, clean pages in such a way that the important extra information is not lost, it just appears nicely and elegantly when the visitor needs it. It does not want to be more than this – just a useful, quiet little tool in your hand that steps forward when needed, and withdraws when it is no longer needed.
